Management Safety Statement
SM Electric was founded on the principle of “safety first”.
We recognize our responsibility to provide a safe workplace for all of our employees from the planning stage to the job close-out. Safety is the utmost importance in all projects to protect employees against occupational accidents, incidents, injuries, and illness. We always keep in mind that, “No job is so important, and no service is so urgent, that we cannot take the time to perform our work safely”.
Other safety processes include formal training programs, use of technology, work site audits, observation trends, good catch and near miss reports, along with corrective action follow-up (after performing a Root Cause analysis). We also work with a third party auditing service to ensure our methods are the best in the industry.
The “Stop the Job” program lets every employee know they have the right and responsibility to STOP any job for any safety concern. It empowers individuals, alerts them to unsafe work settings, and allows them to maintain positive control of our work through hazard identification and the execution in these critical steps of our tasks.
These processes exist to engage and educate our workforce to be proactive in the safety process and move us toward our company-wide zero injury goal.
