Project Manager
S.M. Electric Project Managers are hands-on leaders with the ability to manage very complex installation, upgrade and maintenance projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Reviewing project proposals to determine time frame, procedures, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources.
- Overseeing all work performed on the job site, including providing direction for site construction, engineering, procurement and supervisory personnel.
- Ensuring that all personnel perform work in accordance with S.M. Electric’s––and the industry’s––rigorous safety standards.
- Regularly assessing variables such as project cost, schedule, procurement, material controls, staffing and labor relations, and modifying as needed to ensure project is completed on time and within budget.
- Ensuring that all necessary equipment, tools and materials are available and in excellent working order.
- Preparing estimates and change order budgets.
- Managing and scheduling vendors and subcontractors.
- Preparing project progress reports and daily documentation for upper management and client review.
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of project management experience and proven leadership and collaborative abilities. A college or technical degree is a plus. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
