Electrical Design Engineer

S.M. Electric is seeking Electrical Design Engineers to design complex electrical system installations and upgrades for our prestigious clientele, including power generation and distribution plants, high voltage substations, commercial facilities, pharmaceutical research laboratories, alternative energy generation sources and chemical and refinery plants. The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for:

• Developing electrical system designs that address customers’ needs and adhere to project parameters and budget.
• Performing field surveys and meeting with job site personnel to oversee implementation of system design.
• Ensuring that the design adheres to the applicable ISO standards and the NEC.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of electrical design engineering experience.  An electrical engineering degree is a plus.  Candidates should also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
